History

Since 2001, The Kid Fiddlers have been amazing audiences around the world!  They began with 'mom' on keyboard, and 4 children playing their fiddles.  Chelsea was 13, Tess 11, Grayden 9, and Mickinzie was just 7!  Shortly after, the children began learning other instruments - Chelsea on the banjo, Tess as our mandolin player, and Grayden on guitar, and mom on bass.

Vocals were then added to the group - the kids started learning 3-part harmonies in a perfect blend that only siblings can achieve.  Mickinzie would come out in her little cowboy boots and bring down the house with her amazing voice.  A few years later, Zach was finally ready to perform and then at age 3 (2004), Skyler joined the band singing, "These Boots are made for Walking".

A live recording at the historic Heber Creeper along the Wasatch Mountains from the Kid Fiddlers was released in 2004 with "Kid Fiddlin' 1 1/2" being released in 2005.

The year 2006 brought about many changes for the band, including Chelsea leaving after graduating high school.  It was a very difficult adjustment as she was such an integral part of the band.  But the other children wanted to pursue their musical career.  So, they re-grouped and Tess began learning the banjo, Mickinzie began playing the mandolin, and Zach and Skyler stepped up the fiddle playing.  They also began clogging and the energy level of the show was over the top!

In 2007, at age 6, Skyler had her first yodel lesson.  Mom took her to a teacher who said, "She can't learn at this young age.  Bring her back when she is a teenager."  But mom insisted on trying...Within 20 minutes, Skyler was yodeling and a new dimension was added to the show!  The band signed a contract performing at resorts in Southern California and Arizona and relocated to Vegas for 7 months.  After 5 months, the family decided Vegas was "home" and they moved there permanently.

"Stormin' It Up" was released in 2008 with an original song about the Jackson Family entitled "We've Got Each Other".  The album is the first to have Skyler (age 7) yodeling.  The year 2009 brought some major venues and the band's popularity began to explode.

At the beginning of 2010 summer, the Kid Fiddlers set out to perform in every state they hadn't already.  So, the Kid Fiddlers went to work on routing and scheduling.  By the end of September, Kid Fiddlers had performed in 46 of the 50 states!  The remaining states, including Alaska and Hawaii and "hopefuls". A Christmas CD was released and the Kid Fiddlers are most proud of this CD as they recorded and produced it themselves - "A Christmas to Remember".

For the first time in 5 years, Chelsea made a guest appearance with the band, and all 6 children, with mom, were reunited on stage.  Their first DVD was released in 2011 as a 'reunion' and it is called "Sunset at the Park".  Congratulations are in order as the Jacksons were honored with the largest Gateway Foundation Scholarship Award for outstanding achievement in music and continued music study!

2012 Kid Fiddlers celebrate 10 wonderful years and announce a bold new name change! Not only are the 'kids' growing up, they have out grown the "Fiddle" label. These amazing children not only play a mean fiddle, but also many different instruments! They sing amazing vocals with blended harmonies that only siblings can achieve, and they can dance up a storm! As we begin a new decade, Kid Fiddlers will be known as "Mama's Wranglers". Don't worry though, there will still be plenty of great fiddling, and the show promises to be better than ever! They are looking forward to meeting new friends all over the world and re-visiting old friends and familiar places. They are excited to have been approached for a USO tour and are currently under negoticiations to perform in Alaska, Iceland, Italy, etc.
